Oh no, Atomic Kitten have split!
Atomic Kitten have announced that they are "taking a break" today. Split, in other words. Anyway this should mean no more bland awful pop on the radio (from them at least) But to give the girls their due they did have one mighty, mighty song under their belt. Be With You. Hark yourself back to the time when it was out. Remember how shockingly good it was?
Okay, now that *that's* finished we can safely say that Atomic Kitten were crap. Good night girls!
If that horrible news has left all upset, why not cheer yourself up with this amusing picture of Will Young and a Will Young lookalike:

The Shocking Story behind this photograph
Billy the koala had been so lonely all his life, fatherless since birth. He never expected love to ever come his way again until that fateful day where right in front of him he saw a sight he never expected to see... "Daddy?"

Britney: The Onyx Hotel Tour....
How excited am I at the thought of Britney's tour coming to Ireland? Answer: VERY. But for a while there thanks to those feckers at ticketmaster.ie, I nearly didn't get excited because the website played up big style. Anyway I've got tickets now and can safely say that I can't wait for the 3rd of June. To whet your appetite head over to UKBritney.tv (link to your right) visit photos and check out the images from the onyx hotel tour ad. Oooh, you'll go all gooey inside.

Sound of the Underground VS Sound of the Underground
Well I managed to get my hands on the reissued version of Girls Aloud's Sound of the Underground yesterday, and to be totally honest I can't say which one is better. The original is still the better album. It just fits together so well. and besides pop albums rarely have covers this ace:

Having said that, the reissue has the rather fecking brilliant You Freak Me Out on it which is so so ace! Very addictive chorus and a much harder guitar sound than their other songs (it's not that hard mind, they're hardly Metallica)
The reissue is worth it for the 3 new tracks and the video if you buy it for a decent enough price. To buy each of the singles (if YFMO actually gets released) would work out the same and when you factor in the ace videos it's not a bad purchase. Having said the original feels more like an album. and the cover is decidely less ace:

In other news Victoria Beckham's Let Your Head Go is still an ace pop song that I can't seem to tire of. The middle eight is genius. Buy it now!!

OMIGOD!!!
Britney is doing a UK Tour! Which is fab news if you live in the UK but you know what not so fab if you live in Ireland where she isn't coming. I mean really, don't come to Ireland where your records sell more and you are just as if not more popular.
GGGRRRRR
p.s. I promise some non Britney entries soon :>)

Well hello there! Obviously I haven't blogged here in quite awhile, but I think 2004 will be the year the Ditzyplex Blog and the Ditzyplex FanArt site happen! and I mean happen! It could be the start of the Ditzyplex explosion, I can see it now, T-Shirts! Dolls! Video Games! Movies! Kind of like the Britney Spears global brand bandwagon that sprung up when she first hit the big time. Speaking of Britney this leads nicely into the next part of the blog (Didja see what I did there? :>) )
Britney is under huge flak for her "publicity stunt" wedding, but personally I think that it was a mistake that could compleltely ruin any chance of people taking Britney's music seriously. Her next single Toxic, looks to be put back, a clip of the video wasn't shown on TRL USA today as was expected but details on her tour were announced. The video is still planned to air next week but if the singles delayed it could all go horribly especially if there's no promotion for the single.(Her people can obviously smell the bad interviews a mile off) Hoepfully the song will do well, Toxic is an ace pop tune whatever your feelings about Britney maybe.
